Dear racing car friends,

The Federation of Modelcar sport of Russia is sad to announce that on 9 May 2012, at the age of 61, our friend and comrade BORIS AFANASIEV has unexpectedly passed away.

His name is associated with many glorious moments and events in the history of tether car racing.

Everyone remembers his beautiful victory at World and European Championships.

BORIS devoted all his life to tether car racing and to teaching to the children the fine art of technical sports.

Our good friend and comrade devoted himself up until the last days of his life to our common hobby – tether car racing.

The memory of him will forever remain in our hearts.
